If you are a retailer of manufactured homes, you should know that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requires inspections of manufactured home installations in Michigan. Not only are these inspections mandatory, but the individuals performing the installations or inspections are required to meet certain criteria. This means that the manufactured homes that are shipped to and located in Michigan must be installed by an installer that is licensed and registered with HUD, and the inspections must be performed by a HUD - approved inspector.
